What is Callio Marketing?

Callio Marketing is a student lead and run marketing agency. Like a general marketing firm, Callio Marketing offers clientele services that help create or manage business websites and social media platforms across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more. More so, Callio Marketing provides services such as web page design, graphic design, video editing, advertisement, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The services Callio Marketing provide aim towards the connection and engagement between a business and its message to their target customers.

However, Callio Marketing stands out in one way with the method the team uses to strike audiences and in another with their goals to help the Latino and underprivileged communities with their services. With their unique way of target marketing, the team at Callio Marketing works to go the extra step and identify target audiences and target audience behaviors in order to create media that appeals to the specific groups. A key point that Callio Marketing’s services hope to find, display and emulate with their services is their client’s voice. A voice that may emulate tones and moods of creativity, imagination, hope, trust; all things that help speak a business’s goals and background to customers especially when viewing advertisements and media. This method has been a long standing part of Callio Marketing’s service that goes beyond a normal design and creation other marketing agencies do and through such, Callio Marketing not only dedicates its efforts to the number of clientele it can take on, but the satisfaction of customer and tangible results.

Meet the Founder: Angie Tirado

Angie Tirado is the Founder and CEO of Callio Marketing. She founded Callio Marketing not only due to her passion and experience in social media management and outreach, but also because she noticed a large gap in the utilization of social media and online presences for many of the businesses in her local area. More especially, she noticed that her local Latino community were the most underrepresented in their social media presence. From her own experience growing up in a Latino family and community, she noticed a long standing traditional take on work ethic and business management. What she noticed more was a reluctance from Latino businesses to gain an online presence because of a simple incomplete understanding of what the internet could do, but more so a traditional stance on hard, physical work in attracting customers and perfecting business. This stance ignored social media and an online presence, she noticed, because of its new and modern characteristics that long standing businesses in general were unenthusiastic about. Angie hoped to flip this scenario and through her marketing agency, hoped that she could show Latino businesses, but also businesses in general, the importance and benefits of having an online presence. For Angie as well, her background and fluency in Spanish also provides a unique and critical aspect of her agency that helps her stick out to and help the Latino businesses she also targets.

Angie currently has helped numerous customers and businesses. Also has key partnerships with nonprofits to help provide services such as their social media management as well as audience outreach such as MosaicoNY, a nonprofit for helping the Latino community with legal policy; We Connect the Dots, a nonprofit dedicated to helping teens uprising in STEM; and Building-U, a nonprofit helping students connect to scholarship opportunities. Through these experiences in organizations tackling modern-day issues, Angie hopes she can spread the same message to the business with her experiences and her goals with her service. More specifically, Angie hopes that she can help traditional businesses modernize with social media and specific areas where the social media presence can impact the most. For example, Angie accounts for differences in target demographics and pivots her service efforts towards certain platforms for the best results in engagement. Whether it be Instagram for a younger target audience or Facebook for a more established audience, the goal for Angie is to bring these businesses into new light and modern times.

Angie’s Message

The most important message Angie hopes to spread through her business is an amenability to change. Especially for the business, she noticed that before her work, they were incredibly reluctant against change, a mindset that Angie worked hard to switch. But through these efforts, Angie believes that the best improvement for people and for businesses is an openness to new avenues and possibilities. Angie would love to talk more about her experiences and her works and encourage others to listen to her message and reach out and ask more about what she does!
