What is Cooly?
Cooly is a home-to-airport luggage transport service designed to simplify the travel experience by handling all aspects of luggage management from your doorstep to your destination. The service allows travelers to have their luggage picked up from their home and delivered directly to the airport, where it will be checked in, leaving travelers with the sole task of picking up their bags at their final destination. By streamlining the check-in process and managing all the stress-inducing factors such as sizing, weighing, security checks, and transportation, Cooly aims to make traveling more enjoyable and less burdensome.
Cooly operates through a centralized app that offers easy booking options, tracking features, real time updates and notifications regarding their luggage condition, and direct communication with the servicemen handling the luggage. This ensures that users can keep track of their belongings in real-time, receive timely updates on the condition and location of their luggage, and enjoy a smooth, stress-free travel experience.
Traveling, especially with a lot of luggage and accounting for all the gifts for the people there and then the friends back home can be overwhelming and stressful. Cooly’s purpose is to remove these pain points by providing a reliable, secure, and convenient service that handles all luggage-related tasks. This allows travelers to focus on their journey rather than worrying about the logistics of managing their bags.
Meet the Founder: Pranati Misra
Cooly was founded by Pranati Misra, an individual with a deep personal connection to travel. Born in India, she and her family continue to hold deep ties and connections to their friends and family remaining in India. Their family holds these connections close and oftenly travel back to India, making, usually, two trips per year. Having traveled extensively between India and the United States, Pranati has seen her family struggle with their gift management and transportation that combine with the 3-5 suitcases the family already uses for personal belongings to have a total close to ten suitcases. The problem is consistent with her family’s additional traveling experiences across the world. Usually, Pranati and her family take up to five trips a year, where their luggage story is the same no matter where they go. The consistent stress of tracking and organizing so many goods had become a recognizable depressing moment of Pranati’s travel experience leading to her idea for Cooly.
This personal experience, combined with a desire to make travel easier for others and maybe making gift management easier, inspired the creation of Cooly. Pranati’s background in technology and familiarity with the travel industry has driven the development of this service, with a focus on security, convenience, and user satisfaction.
Vision for the Future
Cooly envisions expanding its impact by transitioning from an online platform to a dedicated app, making the service even more accessible and user-friendly. The team is currently working on app development, implementing advanced security features, and running field tests to ensure the service’s efficiency and reliability including long trips from Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, NJ to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India.
Future plans include establishing partnerships directly with airlines rather than airports, as airlines have specific policies that can be better managed through such collaborations. Cooly has already engaged in talks with Emirates and plans to reach out to more airlines to ensure the service is available with trusted partners.
Additionally, Cooly plans to conduct surveys to gauge the optimal price range for the service with the goals of making their service affordable for all travelers in mind. For Cooly, the value of the travel experience where everyone, regardless of how much luggage they have, can enjoy their journey without the stress and hassle, it the utmost important
